Heinrich Wild’s eldest daughter Elisabeth, married renowned Swiss hotelier Peter von Siebenthal in 1970, and together they managed the award-winning family property in Saanenmöser above Gstaad for over three decades. Maison Hornberg is now run by her second daughter Brigitte with her husband Christian Höfliger. The family sold their interest in the businesses created by Heinrich Wild prior to the IPO on the Swiss Stock Exchange in 1990, and are no longer involved in the Leica Holding Group of Companies.

Daniela von Siebenthal

Elisabeth’s eldest daughter Daniela von Siebenthal attended the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland, in Lausanne. She began her career at McKinsey and Co and then as a manager at the Swiss Re Center for Global Dialogue in Zurich. For the last decade she has identified and invested in numerous medical innovation ventures in Switzerland and the United States, in the field of robotics and brain aneurysm treatment, which was the cause of her Grandfather’s early death.

Working with the Central European Biotech Incubator & Accelerator in Vienna, Austria, she actively supports pioneering breakthroughs in aging, neurodegeneration and dementia treatment through her role as a Limited Partner in DanubeNeuro.

Working with a group of trusted advisors, banks, and a number of regulated life science investment funds, Daniela directs the investment decisions of Dr. Heinrich Wild and Family Investments Limited . For the benefit of Dr. Heinrich Wild’s great-great grandchildren, and the other beneficiaries of the Wild-Heerbrugg legacy, the family continues to invest in innovative entrepreneurial businesses that specifically focus on improving neurological health and well being.
